Development

Shutterprise Development

The development phase usually begins when the design is completely fleshed out by all stakeholders and other end-users. User testing is a large part of the development phase and can be conducted during a soft or hard launch. For many products, development never truly ends and continues to evolve and become more efficient over time.

This phase often includes:

Well-Written Code

Minifying and writing clean code will make the product more efficient and will allow less room for error when/if multiple developers work on it in parallel.

QA Testing

An activity to ensure that a product is providing the best possible experience for the user by measuring performance and reliability.

User Testing

User testing sessions serve as a validation of design based on tests with real users, rather than lookalikes. User testing comes in many forms, such as conducting focus groups, usability testing for ADA compliance, A/B testing, and surveys.

Metrics Analysis

Data provided by an analytics tool that goes into great detail about how a user interacts with the product. This includes event clicks, time on page, bounce rate, and search queries.
